Evoco COO & Co-Founder, Natalie Ashdown, Named to Toast & BetaKit's Top 25 Women in Tech 2025

[Toronto – September 26, 2025] – Evoco’s Co-Founder and COO, Natalie Ashdown, is named as Toast and BetaKit’s Top 25 Women in Tech 2025, a prestigious recognition unveiled annually at Platform Calgary in Alberta, strengthening the Canadian tech community. Toast’s Top 25 Women in Tech award honours Canadian female Tech founders addressing climate challenges through transformative, innovative solutions. It highlights women who are shaping industries, driving innovation, and opening doors for the next generation of leaders.

At Evoco, Natalie has been a driving force behind our mission to transform industries with plant-based chemistry solutions, including the development of innovative bio-foams and bio-leathers. Her leadership embodies the belief that sustainability and performance go hand-in-hand, and that the future of materials must be both planet-conscious and human-centred.

But this recognition is about more than one individual achievement. It reflects the rising tide of women in technology and cleantech, and the importance of building pathways that bring others forward. Natalie’s involvement in initiatives like RBC Women in Cleantech powered by MaRS and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s Trade Delegations showcases her commitment to empowering young professionals and amplifying diverse voices in science and technology.

“This recognition is truly a reflection of the incredible community I’ve been able to learn from and collaborate with,” said Natalie Ashdown, COO & Co-Founder at Evoco. “I hope it helps remind others that innovation thrives when we build together, share knowledge, and create space for new voices to rise.”

We’re thrilled to celebrate this major milestone for the company’s leadership and invite you to join us in recognizing not only Natalie’s achievement, but the countless women pushing boundaries in technology and cleantech around the world on our LinkedIn announcement.

The Toast Top 25 Women in Tech award is a celebration of progress, but also a call to action. As part of the global manufacturing industry, we have an opportunity to support and accelerate change by ensuring diverse leadership, inclusive mentorship, and sustainable innovation remain at the heart of growth.
